Tom grew up in rural Maine and he’s a cat person. He earned a degree in biochemistry and molecular biology, but decided that bench science was not for him. He turned to systems administration and eventually found his way to MojoHost. Tom has roughly 15 years of Linux experience, starting out with Slackware on some old junk computers rescued from the dumpster.
In his free time, Tom does house projects, car projects, and sometimes plays video games. He enjoys playing Factorio and modded Minecraft. Someday in the future, Tom would like to go on a tour of all the lovely countries of Scandinavia, and some other places too like Taipei and Shenzhen.
